Near Kyiv, next to the Boryspil highway, Nova Poshta is destroying hectares of pine forest for a new terminal and drone delivery. This concerns the village of Prolisky, located 10 kilometers from Kyiv, near the highway.

Here, so-called “preparatory works” are underway for the construction of a sorting terminal – it is being built for drone delivery of goods (the aerodrome area is approximately 20 hectares). As TopGeek reports, citing a subscriber’s video, not only young trees but also ship pines are being cut down.

The cutting started last week and is actively continuing. According to the video author, as of this morning the forest plantation was cut by a third, and by evening – by half. Instead of centuries-old pines, more and more stumps are appearing every hour.
It should be noted, “Nova Poshta” does not deny the mass tree cutting, stating that “there is a logging ticket issued to the company-owner of the site. It legally permits timber harvesting during the cutting process.”

By the way, the first stage of the sorting terminal is planned to open in 2022. 1 billion hryvnias have been allocated for the construction of Ukraine’s first terminal with a drone aerodrome. Some social media users, in protest, are calling for Nova Poshta’s clients to boycott the company and not use its services.
