by Two new Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs with an estimated cost of about 250 thousand dollars each have been recorded in Ukraine. Attention was drawn to the special license plates, similar to those used by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine.
The question arises: for what specific tasks or emergencies could the ministry need such expensive cars? After all, even despite the off-road conditions and the complex nature of the service, specialized and/or significantly cheaper equipment is needed in most cases, but by no means new “civilian” G-Wagens.
So far, there have been no official comments from the SES regarding the purpose of purchasing such “Geliks”. Whether this luxury is truly justified remains an open question.
