A new sports car Lotus Emira spotted on the roads of Ukraine (photo)

A true British exclusive has appeared on the streets of Kyiv—the new 2024 Lotus Emira. This is one of the first representatives of this model. The Emira is not just a novelty but an entire new era for the Lotus brand. The model replaced three legendary coupes at once—the Elise, Exige, and Evora—and became the last gasoline-powered sports car from the British brand before its full transition to electric power.

The car features a dynamic design with clearly defined lines, a sleek profile, sculpted sides, and a compact “sharp” rear. As a result, some might mistake it for a Ferrari. The silhouette is indeed similar.

Inside, there’s a modern digital architecture with two screens, sports seats, and a conditional “separation” of the driver from the passenger. Despite its sporty nature, the car offers comfortable options: dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, power-adjustable seats, a rearview camera, and even two trunks—151 and 208 liters.

The specimen spotted in Ukraine belongs to the First Edition series (i.e., the first batch). Under the hood is a 2.0-liter Mercedes-AMG turbocharged engine producing 365 hp and 430 N·m of torque. The coupe accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 275 km/h. In addition to this version, the Lotus Emira is also available with a naturally aspirated V6 from the Toyota Camry, fitted with a supercharger.
