The coupe was created in the Ukrainian atelier Proteros Design. The name of the car translates as “Blade Nagual” (a twist from Inca mythology). It is based on the Mazda RX-7 second generation coupe, but the car body is completely new.
The exterior of Proteros Blade Nagual was designed by stylist Grig Tobolin. He was inspired by the Lamborghini Countach and Lancia Stratos, hence the predominance of facets in the design.
The car features a wedge-shaped silhouette with a long hood, a high window line, and a sharpened rear spoiler. The original headlights also attract attention.
The interior of the Mazda RX-7 has not been modified. Only seats from the more modern RX-8 model are installed inside.
The Ukrainian sports car Proteros Blade Nagual is equipped with a 1.3-liter Wankel rotary-piston engine with turbocharging, developing 210 hp. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The car has been very lightly used – it has hit the roads only a few times a year. Its mileage is 112,000 km.
