In the USA, a rare 1991 Bentley Turbo RL Empress II was put up for auction at RM Sotheby’s. The price of the Bentley is not mentioned, but it will certainly amount to several hundred thousand dollars.
Only five Bentley Empress II were produced, and only two of them have left-hand drive. The unusual Bentley coupe was developed at the Hooper body shop, which supplies cars for the British royal family. The car’s mileage is only 11,600 km.
The Bentley Empress II features a very unusual design with a tilted radiator grille and a rear end reminiscent of the Swedish Saab 900. The car is based on the sedan Bentley Turbo RL.
Of course, the interior is dominated by leather and wood. There are also interesting details like a cocktail set in the rear armrest, folding tables in the backs of the front seats, or even branded perfume.
It also features a sunroof, an Alpine audio system with 12 speakers, and power front and rear seats.

Under the hood hides a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 400 hp. With a 4-speed automatic transmission, acceleration to 100 km/h takes about 6 seconds.
