RM Sotheby’s is auctioning off a miniature 1970 Subaru 360. Surprisingly, this little car served in the New Zealand police.
The Subaru 360 police car looks very cute. The three-meter car is painted in traditional black and white colors, with flashing beacons and a siren mounted on the roof. The car is sold with two police helmets.
It turns out that the New Zealand police had several Subaru 360s. However, it’s not exactly clear how a car with a 360 cc engine producing 36 hp, with a top speed of 120 km/h, could catch violators. Also, the rear seats are too cramped to transport criminals.
