New tuning kit for Suzuki Spacia Gear from Damd
Japanese tuning atelier Damd has introduced a new upgrade kit for the kei car Suzuki Spacia Gear. This set, named Noct, transforms a standard compact car into a stylish retro look while maintaining practicality.
The base vehicle is already an off-road version of the Spacia, featuring an aggressive design and durable materials in the cabin. Damd only enhances this theme with thoughtful exterior changes and additional accessories.
Updated front-end design
The key element of the Noct kit is the redesigned front end. Instead of copying famous SUVs, the designers remained true to Suzuki’s style. The standard Jeep-style grille has been replaced with a more refined honeycomb one. Aluminum inserts frame the grille, and the round LED headlights have received new rings and colored bezels instead of the black factory ones.
The front bumper looks different, but it is actually a standard part, successfully complemented by a horizontal insert reminiscent of the metal bumpers of classic cars.
Wheels and additional equipment
The side profile of the car remains almost unchanged, but optional 15-inch Cantabile alloy wheels refresh the look. They can be fitted with off-road tires for better traction. For those needing extra practicality, a roof rack made from New Zealand Accoya wood is offered.
Technical specifications and prices
Damd makes no changes to the engine or chassis. The car retains its 660cc three-cylinder engines with a mild hybrid system. Power is 49 hp (36 kW) in the naturally aspirated version and 64 hp (47 kW) in the turbocharged version. Drive is front or all-wheel drive, with a CVT transmission.
The price for an unpainted Noct kit starts at ¥140,800 ($880). It includes the grille, headlight bezels, bumper elements, and the Suzuki emblem. If the kit is ordered together with four Cantabile wheels, the price rises to ¥242,000 ($1,500). The roof rack costs ¥64,900 ($400) separately, and the Nomad decals are ¥3,960 ($25).
The base price for the Suzuki Spacia Gear itself in Japan ranges from ¥1,952,500 ($12,200) to ¥2,217,600 ($13,900) depending on the trim.
This tuning kit is an excellent example of how the Japanese aftermarket turns ordinary kei cars into desirable objects. Damd once again demonstrates that even a small budget can radically change a car’s appearance, preserving its practicality and adding individuality. It is worth noting that this approach not only makes the car more stylish but also potentially more attractive to young drivers or those who value uniqueness. In an environment where large SUVs are becoming increasingly expensive, such compact and affordable solutions could become a popular alternative for city driving and light off-roading.
