In honor of the 20th anniversary of mandatory crash tests for new cars in Europe, the Global NCAP committee decided to conduct an educational and demonstrative test of an old and a new car. For this, a 1998 Ford Fiesta and a 2018 Ford Fiesta were chosen.
The goal of the experiment was to visually compare the safety of cars with a 20-year difference. As expected, the new Fiesta performed significantly better, whereas the late ’90s Ford showed a high risk of injury to the occupants. In general, watch the video:
