Toyota Presents the Unique Corolla Cross Nasu Concept
Toyota has introduced a special version of its compact crossover, transforming the ordinary Corolla Cross into an adventure vehicle. This concept, known as the Corolla Cross Hybrid Nasu Edition 2026, is one of many projects to be presented at the SEMA show.
Design Features and Equipment
The vehicle received a bright purple wrap, symbolizing its connection to the Japanese Mount Nasu. The name “Nasu” has two meanings: as a verb – “to achieve,” and as a noun – “eggplant,” which explains the unusual body color.
The concept is equipped with a custom body kit, extended wheel arches, underbody protection, and LED headlights. Additionally, a roof rack has been installed, complemented by a special mountain bike dedicated to world champion Asa Vermette.

Interior and Additional Features
The car’s interior is enhanced with illuminated sills, a special organizer in the luggage compartment, a portable refrigerator, and a powerful JBL audio system.
Development and Presentation
The concept was developed by the Toyota SPAD team using modern technologies, including 3D printing and computer modeling. Mike Tripp, Toyota’s Vice President of Marketing, noted that this project demonstrates how a popular model can reflect the company’s spirit of adventure.
The Corolla Cross Nasu presentation will take place at the SEMA show in Las Vegas in November 2025, where it will join other brand concepts.
This project highlights the growing interest of automakers in special versions that combine everyday practicality with off-road style elements. The use of hybrid technology in such a vehicle also indicates Toyota’s desire to combine environmental friendliness with versatility, which could become a trend for future models.
