Updated Design and Technologies
Jeep has introduced the updated version of the Grand Cherokee for the 2026 model year. The model received changes to its exterior, including a new front end with a simplified grille and updated headlights. New color options have also been introduced, such as Copper Shino, Fathom Blue, and Steel Blue.
The interior has been equipped with a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, which is a significant improvement over previous versions. The control panel and center console have also been updated.
Simplified Trim Lineup
The manufacturer has simplified the choice of trims, leaving three main versions: Laredo, Limited, and Summit. However, there are many additional option packages available, which may complicate the choice. Base models feature 18-inch wheels and chrome details, while more expensive versions offer a panoramic sunroof, a premium audio system, and heated and massaging leather seats.
New Powertrains
Several engine options are available for the 2026 Grand Cherokee. The base 3.6-liter V6 remains in the lineup, but a new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 324 hp has been added. It provides a range of over 800 km on a single tank and is capable of towing up to 2.8 tons.
A hybrid 4xe version is also offered, with a combined output of 375 hp and 637 Nm of torque. This model is equipped with a 17.3 kWh battery.
The updated Grand Cherokee is expected to go on sale by the end of this year. Detailed technical specifications and prices will be announced later. This update reflects the general trend among automakers to combine traditional engines with efficient turbocharged and hybrid technologies, allowing them to meet the diverse needs of customers.
