A real battle unfolded at the auction for the most expensive car number. Unexpectedly, Russian billionaire Pavel Durov appeared, but he couldn’t exceed 9 million and dropped out of the bidding. All the proceeds will be directed to charity.
Interestingly, shortly after the auction, the world’s most expensive car number was spotted on a rather modest car. It was hung not on a limited-edition supercar or an exclusive Rolls-Royce, but on a Tesla Model X electric crossover.
Not that it’s an overly cheap car, but it doesn’t match the status and cost of the number. Although the license plate on the Tesla may be temporary, and soon it will be moved to a more suitable car.
