Updated 2026 Chevrolet Montana
Chevrolet continues to expand its presence in the South American market by updating its model range. Following recent changes to the Tracker and other crossovers, the company has introduced an updated version of the Montana pickup truck.
Externally, the car has remained almost unchanged but has received new 17-inch wheels for the Premier and RS versions, as well as a new color — Scarlet Red. The base MT trim now includes more body-colored details.
Technical Updates
The car’s interior has been significantly modernized: it is now equipped with a digital instrument cluster and a large central screen. The exception is the base MT version, which retains analog gauges.
Among the new options are ambient lighting, floor mats with raised edges, puddle lights, a premium audio system, and additional cargo accessories. The cargo compartment supports over 20 different accessories for user convenience.
Technical Specifications
Under the hood is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine with 139 hp, which has become 4% more fuel-efficient. Available transmission options are a 6-speed manual or automatic, with front-wheel drive only.
In Brazil, prices for the new Montana start from R$ 141,790 (approximately $25,400). The car is produced locally and also exported to Argentina and Uruguay. GM expects the pickup truck market in the region to exceed 500,000 sales this year.
The Montana updates show that Chevrolet is betting on technology and practicality in the compact pickup segment. Particular attention is paid to the interior and additional accessories, making the model more attractive to active buyers. Improvements in engine efficiency could also be a significant argument in markets with high fuel prices.
