Jeep Avenger Receives Update: New Grille Design
Jeep is preparing to introduce an updated version of its compact SUV, the Avenger, for the European market. This will happen three years after the model’s debut. In a new teaser published by the manufacturer, changes to the front-end design can be seen, particularly the evolution of the famous seven-slot grille.
Jeep describes the updated grille as a breakthrough, although it looks similar to the one already featured on the new Compass. The seven slots retain the tapered shape characteristic of the original Avenger, but they now have thinner gaps and lack visible frames.

The main feature of the update is the addition of seven LEDs integrated directly into the grille, similar to the Compass model. They serve as an extension of the Avenger’s thin daytime running lights (DRLs), which are located above the main headlights. The first Jeep with an illuminated grille was the 2022 Grand Wagoneer concept.
Exterior Changes and Possible Interior Updates
In addition to the new grille, the Avenger may receive revised front and rear bumpers, as well as new body color options and alloy wheels. The roof rails visible in the teaser hint at a special Jeep Avenger 4xe The North Face edition, although they could become available for other trims in the updated lineup.

Jeep has not yet revealed details about interior updates. However, given that prototypes had a camouflaged dashboard, changes to the digital panel can be expected. It is also possible that the manufacturer will replace the hard plastics of the previous model with softer materials.
Technical Specifications and Sales Geography
No significant changes are expected under the hood. The Avenger is already available with petrol, mild hybrid, and fully electric powertrains from the Stellantis lineup. The most powerful version is the all-wheel drive variant (mild hybrid 4xe) with two electric motors and a turbocharged 1.2-liter petrol engine.

In addition to Europe, the Avenger will also appear in South America. Production for this market will begin later this year at the Porto Real plant in Brazil. It is not yet known whether the South American version will receive the same visual updates as the European model, which is produced in Poland. It is expected that the SUV will get a special powertrain adapted to local customer needs for this market.
The Jeep Avenger update is a logical step to maintain the model’s competitiveness in the rapidly growing subcompact crossover segment. The integration of an illuminated grille, previously the prerogative of older models, demonstrates the brand’s desire to unify its design and emphasize lineup continuity. The expansion of sales geography to South America also points to the model’s global ambitions, which, despite its compact size, is set to become an important player in emerging markets.
