Powerful Ford Everest Tremor with V6 Gas Engine Debuts in the Middle East
Ford has introduced a new, most powerful version of the Everest SUV, which is the “brother” of the Ranger pickup. The new Tremor modification is equipped with a gasoline V6 engine, bringing it even closer to the anticipated but never created Raptor variant. However, this novelty is available exclusively for Middle Eastern markets.
The vehicle premiered at the Liwa International Festival in Abu Dhabi. Externally, the 2026 Ford Everest Tremor is practically identical to the Australian version that debuted a year earlier. It received the same Bilstein suspension, a 26 mm increase in ground clearance, a Rock Crawl mode, as well as black 17-inch wheels with General Grabber AT3 off-road tires.
The Heart of the Newcomer – a Powerful Gasoline Engine
The main change was the powertrain. For the Middle Eastern market, the standard engines were replaced with a bi-turbo 2.7-liter gasoline V6 EcoBoost. It is paired with a -speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
In the Everest Tremor version, this engine produces 350 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Everest in history.
This engine is well-known: it is installed in the Ford F-150, as well as in American versions of the Ranger. For comparison, the 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 in the Australian Everest Tremor develops only 247 hp, although it offers more torque – 600 Nm.
Market Positioning and Competitors
According to the company, this configuration provides “class-leading power and torque.” This is intended to give an advantage in the fight against direct competitors.

The main competitors of the Ford Everest include body-on-frame SUVs such as the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Fortuner, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Isuzu MU-X, and Nissan X-Terra. Against the backdrop of this list, the appearance of a version with a powerful gasoline V6 could indeed strengthen the Everest Tremor’s position, at least on paper.
Updated Model Lineup
In addition to the Tremor version, the updated 2026 Everest lineup for the Middle East also includes Active, Sport, and Platinum trim levels. All of them received the same updates as their Australian counterparts, which is quite logical since they are all produced at the same factory in Thailand.
The appearance of such a version highlights the regional specifics of the automotive market. While Europe and other regions are focused on eco-friendliness and electric vehicles, in the Middle East, where fuel is traditionally more accessible, the demand for powerful and reliable gasoline engines for harsh operating conditions remains high. This move by Ford demonstrates the flexibility of the brand’s global strategy, adapting its products to the specific needs and preferences of buyers in different corners of the world, even if it concerns only one region.
