The Most Powerful Panamera from Porsche Embodies the Spirit of GT3 RS

New Version of Porsche Panamera Receives Powerful Update

Porsche is preparing to release a new, even more powerful version of its Panamera sedan with an internal combustion engine. This model will receive the “Turbo GT” designation, indicating its sporty character and high dynamic qualities.

Signs of Sporty Character

The test version, which was spotted on the Nürburgring track, shows a number of characteristic changes:

Unique Technical Solutions

The ventilation openings on the front wings are particularly noteworthy, similar to those installed on the sports models 718 GT4 RS and 911 GT3 RS. This technology helps reduce the lift force of the front part of the car by diverting air from the wheel arches.

This type of ventilation is not typical for luxury cruisers; it is an attribute of genuine track cars

Technical Features and Prospects

Although there is no official information from the manufacturer yet, the location of the fuel filler on the left may indicate that this is a hybrid version. However, considering the experience with the Cayenne Turbo GT model, Porsche might do without a hybrid system.

Currently, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid develops 771 horsepower, while the related Lamborghini Urus SE with a similar 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine produces 789 horsepower. This suggests that the new Panamera Turbo GT could become one of the fastest executive sedans on the market.

Competitors from BMW M5, Audi RS6, and Mercedes-AMG E-Class have already switched or are switching to hybrid power units, making such a move by Porsche logical under current conditions. The official presentation of the new model is expected to take place at the beginning of next year, and it may demonstrate that even heavy cars are capable of showing outstanding handling, as has already been proven with the Taycan Turbo GT.
