The Most Powerful Ariel Atom Engine Offers Hypercar-Level Speed

Ariel Introduces New Atom 4RR for Model’s 25th Anniversary

Ariel is celebrating a quarter century of its iconic Atom by releasing a special track version. The Atom 4RR received an even more extreme tuning while retaining the signature minimalist approach. The manufacturer limited the production to just 25 cars, making the model exclusive for the brand’s most devoted fans.

It is based on the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine from the Honda Civic Type R, which now produces 525 hp and 550 Nm of torque. This is 125 hp more than the previous 4R version, thanks to an updated fuel system, modified internal components, and a refined lubrication system.

Technical Features and Design

Although full technical specifications will be revealed later, it can already be expected that the nature of the power will allow the Atom 4RR to accelerate even faster than the base 2.7 seconds to 60 mph. Visually, the model inherited the aggressive aerodynamic body kit from the 4R, complemented by yellow graphic elements. Despite the racing appearance, the car remains suitable for public roads.

The history of the Atom model began in 2000 with a simple design and a 120 hp engine. Over a quarter of a century, the lineup has evolved from basic versions to extreme track machines. The current generation Atom 4 debuted in 2018, and its evolution continues every year, now reaching its peak in the form of the 525-hp 4RR.

This release highlights the continuous development of Ariel’s engineering thought, where each new version becomes not just an update, but a complete reinterpretation of the concept. The limited production makes the 4RR not only a technological achievement but also a future collectible rarity.
