The Most Powerful Land Rover Defender with 626 Horsepower in a Dark Finish

Land Rover Introduces Black Version of Defender OCTA

Land Rover has expanded the Defender lineup by introducing a special black OCTA Black version. This model received up to 30 exterior elements finished in matte or gloss black. These include the radiator grille, a four-pipe exhaust system, and underbody protection plates.

The main body color is Narvik Black, which the manufacturer calls “the truest black in the Defender palette.” Customers can order an additional matte protective coating. The 20- or 22-inch wheel rims are also finished in black with matching center caps.

Interior and Technical Specifications

The black theme continues inside the cabin, where almost all details, including the steering wheel, instrument panel, and seats, are executed in dark tones. The seats are upholstered in semi-aniline leather with elements of Kvadrat fabric, giving them softness and a pleasant tactile feel.

“Kvadrat gives the sport seats a soft and pleasant-to-the-touch appearance,” notes the manufacturer.

Under the hood lies a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine producing 626 hp, which accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h.

The updates are not only external – the model received a new 13.1-inch multimedia system and updated lighting units. The black Defender OCTA version combines aggressive design with powerful technical characteristics, making it one of the most expressive models in the lineup.
