Rare Toyota Century V12 sold at a low price
Older cars with V12 engines are usually not associated with affordable prices, but this Toyota Century is an exception. It was sold for a price comparable to a used Corolla, making it a true find for collectors. Despite the fact that the model was never officially exported to the US, it remains a symbol of the Japanese automotive industry.
The second generation Century (G50) was offered with a V8, but the real gem was the version with a 12-cylinder engine. This was Toyota’s first V12, producing 276 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque. The car is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, and this particular example has around 96,000 miles on it.
Timeless Luxury
The Century is known for its excessive durability and luxury that remains relevant today. For example, the rear seats feature heating, power adjustment, and massage functions. The car also comes with air suspension, an entertainment system for passengers, and even a built-in telephone.
The front passenger seat has a special feature: its backrest folds down, allowing the rear passenger to stretch their legs. This is a true example of classic luxury that still impresses.
This car is not just a relic but a true icon of JDM culture, especially rare in the US. The new owner will have to get used to the attention, as such a specimen is extremely rare on the roads.
Despite its age, the Century V12 remains an example of engineering excellence. Its technical specifications and level of comfort surpass many modern cars, making it a valuable specimen for true automotive enthusiasts.
