Hyundai Ioniq 6 N: A Powerful Electric Sedan for Speed Enthusiasts
After three years of waiting, Hyundai has finally unveiled the production version of its high-performance electric sedan, the Ioniq 6 N. The car inherited many features from the concept and its “brother,” the Ioniq 5 N, but received even more technology for true driving enthusiasts.
Design and Technical Features
Externally, the Ioniq 6 N looks significantly more aggressive than the standard version. It features a new front bumper with large air intakes, widened fenders, and a spoiler on the rear. Additionally, for the first time in the N lineup, a swan-neck-mounted rear wing has appeared.
“Hyundai engineers did everything to ensure the Ioniq 6 N is not just fast but also remains controllable even at high speeds”
Under the hood—or more precisely, under the floor—lies an 84 kWh battery that powers two electric motors. Together, they produce 601 hp, and with the N Grin Boost function, power increases to 641 hp. The top speed is electronically limited to 257 km/h.
Driver Technologies
The car’s interior has also been updated: a sports steering wheel, pedals, and supportive seats. For those who like to record their drives, an integrated mounting system for a GoPro camera is provided.
Among other interesting features are the N Ambient Shift Light system, which changes the interior ambient lighting depending on the driving mode, and the N Drift Optimizer to facilitate controlled drifts. The suspension was completely retuned, and the Pirelli P Zero 5 tires ensure excellent road grip.
Official data on range and price have not yet been disclosed, but it is already clear that Hyundai has created a serious competitor for the Tesla Model 3 Performance and other sports electric vehicles. Given the success of the Ioniq 5 N, the new model has every chance to become popular among those who value dynamics and technology.
