The Most Important Nissan Crossover Will Get a Radical Redesign That Could Determine Its Future

Updated Nissan Rogue: What to Expect from the New Model

Nissan is preparing an update for its popular Rogue crossover (known in Europe as the X-Trail). The new model will receive a more aggressive design, an updated platform, and hybrid powertrains. The car is expected to debut in mid-2026.

Among the key changes:

Exterior and Interior

The front end has received a massive radiator grille with five hexagonal LED elements. The rear lights are designed in a style that echoes the front optics. The interior will be built based on new solutions from the Murano – with two wide-format screens and a minimalist design.

“The new Rogue will receive more refined materials in the interior and an updated version of the ProPILOT system”

Technical Features

The main novelty will be the appearance of hybrid versions. The e-Power system will use a 1.5-liter turbo engine as a generator to charge the battery, while an electric motor will drive the wheels. A plug-in hybrid version will be added to the lineup later.

Despite the update, the Rogue will remain on the same platform as the current model. In North America, the car will be offered only in a 5-seat version, while for other markets a version with a third row of seats is possible.

Competition in the compact crossover market is intensifying, and Nissan is trying to maintain its position. The success of the new model will largely depend on how successful the combination of design, technology, and pricing policy turns out to be. Particular interest is caused by the e-Power hybrid transmission, which could become a real advantage against competitors.
