New Jeep Cherokee 2026: Hybrid, Design, and Interior
Jeep is preparing to launch the updated 2026 Cherokee model, which will go into production this year. Key features include a hybrid version, a refreshed design inspired by the electric Recon 4xe, and a modern interior with digital panels and touch controls.
Despite controversy over the name, the company has decided to retain the “Cherokee” branding. The car’s design has become more classic for Jeep—square shapes instead of the smooth lines of its predecessor. The front features vertical radiator grilles similar to those used in other models of the brand.
“The new Jeep Cherokee will be a key element of our strategy, offering customers more products, innovation, and choice,” said Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf.
Technical Features and Interior
The 2026 Cherokee will feature a hybrid powertrain, with a fully electric variant possible in the future. The STLA-Large platform allows for the use of different engine types. Inside, there is a large digital instrument cluster, a central touchscreen, and touch-sensitive climate control buttons. Engine mode switching is done via toggles.
Production of the new model will begin in the fall of 2025, with a full debut expected soon. Jeep continues to expand its lineup, adding both electric vehicles (Wagoneer S, Recon) and traditional models, with the Cherokee occupying an important place between the Compass and Grand Cherokee.
Recent images confirm that Jeep has prioritized comfort and technology while maintaining the brand’s distinctive style. The hybrid version could become a popular choice among buyers seeking a balance between power and fuel efficiency.
