Next Generation Kia Telluride Finally Prepares for Presentation

Presentation of the Updated Kia Telluride

Kia has announced the debut of the completely updated Telluride SUV for the 2027 model year, which will take place on November 20 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The vehicle will receive modern design and new powertrains.

Key Expected Changes

Path to Success

Six years ago, experts noted that the Kia Telluride is “big, luxurious and ready to take market share from the Ford Explorer”. This forecast has been fully justified: the model quickly became the second best-selling Kia vehicle and one of the most popular three-row crossovers in America.

Despite the fact that much has changed since 2019, age has not affected the model’s popularity. On the contrary – sales increase every year, and a new record is expected in 2025.

Expected Technical Specifications

Under the hood, two new engines are expected: a 3.5-liter V6 with 287 hp and a hybrid setup. The latter will include a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a 1.65 kWh battery and two electric motors integrated into a six-speed automatic transmission.

Off-Road Variant

In addition to the standard model, an off-road version is being developed, similar to the Hyundai Palisade XRT Pro. It will feature a unique front bumper with red tow hooks, a suspension with increased height and more powerful tires.

The hybrid version will be able to offer fuel efficiency of over 30 miles per gallon on the highway, making it particularly attractive for family trips and long journeys. This could become a decisive factor for buyers looking for a compromise between space and economy.
