Alfa Romeo is preparing new powerful models in collaboration with Luna Rossa
Alfa Romeo is reviving its lineup of high-performance cars, and this time the brand has joined forces with the Italian yacht team Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. As early as next year, we can expect the presentation of new models that will draw inspiration from water racing. The company’s CEO confirmed that the new products will be part of the Quadrifoglio series – the line of powerful versions of Alfa Romeo cars.
Production of previous Quadrifoglio models, such as the Giulia and Stelvio, ceased earlier this year, so the new project will not be just an update. Instead, the brand is preparing something more exclusive. Company head Santo Ficili stated:
The partnership has already begun, and we plan to present the first limited series by the first quarter of 2026. It will be something very powerful and exclusive.
The future of Alfa Romeo: hybrids and delays
The update of the model range, including new generations of the Giulia and Stelvio, is delayed due to the transition to hybrid technologies. Initially, it was planned that these cars would become fully electric, but due to the slow development of the EV market, the company changed its strategy. Ficili explained:
The transition to electricity is taking longer than expected, so we are revising our development plans. Our future models will receive both internal combustion engines and hybrid systems.
It is expected that after the appointment of the new Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa on June 23, Alfa Romeo will receive clearer plans for future products. The partnership with Luna Rossa could mark the beginning of a new era for the brand, one that combines speed, technology, and exclusivity. For now, it remains a mystery which specific models will receive updates, but Quadrifoglio will undoubtedly remain a symbol of high performance.
