The next Nissan Juke will be so changed that it may be unrecognizable

New electric Nissan Juke 2026

Nissan is preparing a fully electric version of its iconic Juke crossover, which will be released in 2026. The car will feature a radical design inspired by the Hyper Punk concept and will be manufactured at a plant in the UK. This is part of the company’s strategy, which plans to introduce five electric models for the European market by 2026.

Features of the novelty:

Design and technologies

The new Juke will retain its unique styling but will become more angular with a lower roofline. The design is inspired by the Hyper Punk concept, which showcased geometric shapes and futuristic lighting elements. The interior is expected to feature a modern infotainment system, a digital instrument panel, and improved ergonomics.

“Production of the new Juke will begin in the UK, where models from Chinese partner Dongfeng may also be manufactured”

Technical details

The car will be built on the CMF-EV platform, which is already used in other electric models of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. This will allow for increased cabin space and the installation of more powerful batteries. The base variant is expected to have a single electric motor with 120–150 hp, while the top Nismo version will offer two motors and all-wheel drive.

The market for small electric crossovers is becoming increasingly competitive, and Nissan will have to compete with models such as the Jeep Avenger, Hyundai Kona Electric, and Peugeot e-2008. The official presentation of the novelty is planned for this year, and sales will begin in Europe in 2026. The question of supply to North America remains open due to possible customs restrictions.

Despite financial difficulties, Nissan continues to invest in electrification. The new Juke could become a key model for the brand, as it combines recognizable design with modern technologies. The success of this car will largely depend on its price and real-world range, as these factors often determine buyers’ choices in the affordable electric vehicle segment.
