Audi TT Successor to Debut as a Concept This Fall

Audi Prepares a New Electric Concept

Audi plans to introduce a new electric concept this fall. Although the project is called “TT Moment 2.0,” it will not be the successor to the classic TT. Instead, the car will be larger and is likely to be built on the Porsche 718 Electric platform.

Production of the Audi TT ceased in 2023, and since then, there have been many rumors about its return. Audi CEO Gernot Döllner confirmed that the new concept will debut in the fall, most likely at the auto show in Munich. He described the future model as “something between the TT and the R8.”

This will be our TT Moment 2.0

Initial images show that the car will resemble a scaled-down version of the A5 Coupe/Convertible. The production version is expected to appear within the next two years and may feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.

However, the development of the Porsche 718 Electric is facing difficulties, particularly due to battery issues, which could affect Audi’s plans. This is concerning, as Porsche has already announced the discontinuation of the standard 718 Boxster and Cayman in the coming years.

The presentation of the concept will allow for an assessment of how successfully Audi has managed to combine the sporting spirit of the TT with modern electric technologies. Of particular interest is the potential use of a shared platform with Porsche, which could ensure high dynamics and efficiency.
