On November 7, 2026, the collection of Hannes Daxekker, comprising 83 cars and 50 motorcycles, will be put up for auction in Austria. Its core consists of Mercedes-Benz S-Class cars in rare colors with documented history. This is reported by Auto Motor und Sport.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class collection: unusual colors and rare versions

The collection includes a citrus-green Mercedes-Benz 450 SEL 6.9, gold Mercedes-Benz 350 SE and Mercedes-Benz 280 SE. Among the W116 series versions, the collector is missing only a Mercedes-Benz 280 S. At the same time, he has a rare white Mercedes-Benz 280 SEL, whose first owner was the TV channel ZDF.

The W126 series is represented, in particular, by two red sedans, a Mercedes-Benz 500 SE and a Mercedes-Benz 260 SE. Also to be sold are an apricot-orange Mercedes-Benz 280 SE, a turquoise Mercedes-Benz 380 SEC and a 300 hp Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC with a silver body and a red velour interior.

A separate lot, a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 300 SE 6.3, was created on the short W109 base with a 6.3-liter V8 engine. The experimental sedan was the company car of passenger car development chief Karl Wilfert. Its taillights, door trim and safety steering wheel anticipated the solutions of the future W116.

Auction in Austria: when and how the cars will be sold

The Humer & Granner auction will take place in Feldkirchen an der Donau and will start at 2:00 p.m. local time. The cars can be viewed from Thursday to Saturday. Bids will be accepted in the hall, online, by phone and in writing.

The collection also includes a Mercedes-Benz 600 and a Maybach 62. Automobile memorabilia from Daxekker’s two halls will be sold by the Ni-Cola auction house on November 6–7.
