In the social network TikTok, users watch and discuss a video with an interesting homemade car from Zaporizhzhia. It is about a car called the BMW Phantom, which enthusiast Sergey Nazarenko built several years ago.

The footage shows how the driver very carefully drives out of parking near a supermarket (which is understandable: in case of an accident, the owner will have to restore the car for a long time and at great expense, as most of its parts are unique and have no analogs). Meanwhile, passersby scrutinize the BMW Phantom, which is logical in principle: the car looks very impressive.
BMW Phantom was written about 5 years ago. As Sergey Nazarenko then told the media, in 2007 he bought a 1938 BMW 340 for only 250 dollars. The car had been collecting dust in a garage in Stepnohirsk (Zaporizhia district) and was in very poor condition. The craftsman spent 8 years restoring the BMW and “adapting the car” to his own liking.

From the retro car, Fanatom received the chassis, engine, and gearbox, which are also from BMW – a 2.8-liter inline “six” with 215 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission. The body, as well as the interior, of the car is a combination of the past and the present. For example, while having the signature BMW 1930s radiator grille, Fanatom can boast a monitor with a rear-view camera.
