In Le Mans, during the LeMans Classic vintage car races, a 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan was crashed. This sports car was made in a single copy and is worth about 30 million dollars.

The driver could not handle the 60-year-old car in one of the turns of the track in Le Mans. The car skidded and crashed into a tire barrier. It is known that the 31-year-old racer was unharmed and immediately left the car, but the repair of the Ferrari will be expensive.

Although it should be noted that the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan has been crashed before. The car has been in accidents several times and the last time was in 2015.

Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan was created on the order of the Italian racer Count Giovanni Volpi. He quarreled with Enzo Ferrari, who did not want to sell him the famous Ferrari 250 GTO.

Volpi had an older Ferrari 250 GT SWB and turned to former Ferrari engineer Giotto Bizzarrini to transform the car into a sports car. He created an original streamlined body with a rear part like a van (for this, the car was named Breadvan – “bread van”). With a 300-horsepower V12, the Ferrari is capable of accelerating to 270 km/h.
