Nissan Prepares a Sports Version of the X-Trail Nismo
Nissan plans to introduce a new sports version of its X-Trail SUV called Nismo. The premiere will take place in Japan on August 21. This model will receive a number of exterior and technical updates aimed at improving dynamics and aesthetics.
Exterior Changes and Design
Key exterior updates include an aggressive body kit, red accents, and special Enkei wheels. As sources report, the model will also receive an updated grille, widened bumpers, side skirts, and wheel arches that will emphasize its sporty character. The color palette will include six options, among which are both monochrome and two-tone solutions.

Interior Updates
The car’s interior will likely be executed in black tones with red accents and carbon fiber inserts. Recaro sports seats in leather and Alcantara, as well as a Bose audio system with nine speakers, may be offered as options.

Technical Features
Despite its sporty image, the X-Trail Nismo will likely retain the standard e-Power hybrid powertrain. However, the model will receive a number of important updates to improve handling, including retuned suspension, steering, and e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive software.
The question of whether this version will be available in other markets, particularly in the USA where the X-Trail’s twin, the Nissan Rogue, is sold, remains open. The next generation of the Rogue is expected in 2026, and it is possible that the Nismo sports version could appear in that model.
This model demonstrates how manufacturers are increasingly turning to the creation of sports versions of crossovers, trying to combine practicality with emotional qualities. Despite the lack of significant changes in power, the emphasis on handling and design could interest brand enthusiasts looking for something more than a standard family car.
