A rare 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, which underwent a full restoration by NISMO, has been put up for auction in Italy. The estimated value of the lot is $820,960–$996,880. This is reported by “Classic Driver”.
The car has a mileage of only 262 km after restoration. It is the Clubman Race Spec version, built on the base of the GT-R M-Spec — one of the rarest modifications of the model, produced in a limited edition.
Nissan GT-R R34: Restoration Details by NISMO
The work was carried out at the Omori Factory and lasted about a year. The car was completely disassembled, the body rigidity was checked, and all key components were renewed. The engine was replaced with a 2.8-liter inline six-cylinder F-Sport R unit producing 500 hp.
In addition to the engine, the suspension, brakes, and transmission were upgraded. Components from NISMO were used, as well as parts from Öhlins, Brembo, and RAYS. After assembly, the car was tested by a factory driver.
Clubman Race Spec: Limited Edition and Minimal Mileage
The exterior was complemented with a carbon fiber R-Tune hood, a Z-Tune body kit, and forged LMGT4 wheels. The body was repainted in Gunmetal instead of the original white. At the same time, the interior was barely changed, preserving the factory seats and steering wheel.
Since the project’s completion in 2022, the car has driven only 262 km. It is believed that fewer than 20 such GT-Rs were created under the Clubman Race Spec program, making this example one of the rarest.
