Nissan Presents a Combination of Sand, Speed, and Madness at SEMA

Preparing for SEMA Show 2025

Nissan is preparing for the SEMA Show 2025 by presenting four unique concepts that push the boundaries of their model range. This collection includes an Armada off-roader for sand dunes, an open-top version of the Frontier, a powerful Y60 Patrol with a thousand-horsepower engine, and a racing version of the Z Nismo. Each project demonstrates an engineering approach for different operating conditions.

Dune Patrol: Extreme Off-Roader

The Dune Patrol is based on the Armada Pro-4X and transformed into a comfortable vehicle for the most challenging off-road events. It is equipped with a Nismo Off-Road parts kit, making it durable and functional. The off-roader sits on 18-inch Nismo wheels with beadlock and 37-inch off-road tires, complemented by a long-travel sport suspension. The body features extended fenders, steel bumpers, and additional LED lights for bright illumination. The roof rack and numerous mounting points provide convenient storage for gear.

Frontier Rapid Runner: Companion for Active Recreation

The Nissan Frontier Rapid Runner, developed by Powernation TV, is the ideal partner for kayaking and adventures. Built on the Frontier Pro-4X platform, it received the suspension and axles from the larger Titan, ensuring stability and increased height. The 16-inch Nismo Ascend wheels with 37-inch tires emphasize its aggressive look. The exterior stands out with new bumpers, fender flares, tube doors, and bright livery. The roof and body racks accommodate kayaking gear, and special compartments are designed for paddles, wetsuits, a portable shower, and solar panels. The seats and floors are protected from moisture.

Y60 Patrol: Powerful Retro Modification

The classic Y60 Patrol from Forsberg Racing received a modified turbocharged 4.8-liter TB48 engine that produces one thousand horsepower. An upgraded suspension and 17-inch wheels with 35-inch tires ensure stability. Externally, the car looks stylish thanks to wide fenders, retro livery, and four additional LEDs on the grille.

Nismo GT-Z: Racing Concept

The Nismo GT-Z, also developed by Forsberg Racing, is a full-fledged race car for the Grildlife GLGT series in 2026. Its exterior is impressive with custom Nismo-colored livery, side louvers, a sharp splitter, and a large rear wing. The 18-inch Nismo LM-RS1 wheels with forged lug nuts and Yokohama Advan tires ensure reliability. Under the hood, it features an adjustable suspension, an upgraded twin-turbo V6 engine, and a track-oriented exhaust system. Along with the GT-Z, Nissan will present a racing simulator, allowing enthusiasts to drive the model in the virtual world.

Conclusion of the Show

All four concepts will be presented at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 4th to 7th, showcasing different aspects of Nissan’s performance and engineering. These projects highlight the growing interest in specialized vehicles that combine innovation with practicality for extreme conditions. Such initiatives could influence future production models, especially in the context of the development of electromobility and motorsports, where brands are actively experimenting with design and technology.
