Updated Design and Technologies
The new Elgrand is completely updated both externally and internally, using Nissan’s “Japanese Futurism” design philosophy. It differs significantly from the previous model sold since 2010 and is inspired by the 2023 Hyper Tourer concept. This minivan now looks more modern and attracts attention thanks to its bright exterior.
Exterior and Interior
The front of the car is impressive: over a dozen small LEDs are integrated into the pixel radiator grille, combining black and colored body elements. A similar approach is used at the rear, where complex LED graphics and a wedge-shaped tailgate are located.
The Elgrand’s interior has become even more comfortable and technological. The steering wheel is made in two leather colors and has physical buttons. Two 14.3-inch diagonal displays are installed on the center console. A 22-speaker audio system from Bose, including large speakers in the front seat headrests, provides high-quality sound. The second feature of the cabin is the luxurious second-row seats with reclining functions and electrically operated footrests.
Technical Updates
The model is equipped with a third-generation e-POWER hybrid system, including a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and an electric motor. Although exact technical specifications have not yet been disclosed, Nissan emphasizes that the Elgrand will become the first vehicle in its global portfolio to receive the updated e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system. This system allows torque distribution between the axles to reduce body oscillations during acceleration and braking.
In addition, the fourth-generation Elgrand is equipped with the latest version of the ProPILOT system, which supports driverless movement at speeds up to 50 km/h. The ProPILOT 2.0 option is also available for fully hands-free highway driving and lane change assistance.
The launch of the new model is scheduled for next summer, indicating that Nissan continues to invest in innovation despite financial difficulties. This step could be important for strengthening the brand’s position in the minivan market, especially in the context of growing competition from electric and hybrid models from other manufacturers.
