Nissan introduced a special version of the Frontier in the style of the American flag

Nissan released the anniversary Frontier pickup for the 250th anniversary of the USA

Nissan has introduced a special version of the Frontier pickup, dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the United States. This is a limited series, totaling only 2,500 vehicles.

Pickups are as integral a part of American culture as apple pie, so it’s no surprise we’re seeing a number of special versions dedicated to the country’s 250th anniversary. The latest offering comes from Nissan and is limited to 2,500 units.

However, this version doesn’t generate much excitement, as the only change is the addition of star and stripe graphics on the rear tailgate. Located inside the “Frontier” embossing, it has a black and silver design inspired by the American flag.

The Frontier 250th Anniversary Edition is based on the PRO-4X trim, and the graphics come at no extra cost. It will be available with all body colors, and customers can even order it on the Frontier PRO-4X R by Roush.

Production will begin next month, and the special version is likely based on the 2027 Frontier. If so, the price will start at $42,190.

Technical specifications and features of the PRO-4X

Recall that the Frontier PRO-4X is an off-road pickup with reinforced suspension and Bilstein shock absorbers. The model also has skid plates, an electronic rear differential lock, and 17-inch wheels fitted with off-road tires.

Under the hood is a 3.8-liter V6 engine producing 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 281 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque. It works in conjunction with a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system.

Nissan notes that the special version honors the country’s 250th anniversary and the company’s manufacturing heritage in America. The automaker began building pickups in the US in the summer of 1983 with the model 720. The Frontier appeared in 1998, and since then, over two million such vehicles have been produced.

This anniversary edition is more of a symbolic gesture than a technical update. Nissan chose not to add new options or improvements, limiting itself solely to a visual accent in the form of flag graphics. This approach allows the company to mark an important date without significant development costs, while offering buyers an exclusive element that emphasizes the patriotic character of the vehicle. Given that the special series has no markup, it could become an attractive choice for those looking for a unique pickup with history without overpaying for additional equipment.
