The Chinese premium brand Voyah, owned by the Dongfeng conglomerate, is actively preparing for the launch of its new large crossover — the Voyah Taishan. The model is positioned as the brand’s flagship and a direct competitor to the Mercedes-Maybach GLS.
The exterior of the Voyah Taishan is executed in the brand’s new signature style, which has already been tested on the Passion L sedan and the Dream minivan. The car features a massive radiator grille with slits, two-level main optics with a built-in projector capable of displaying prompts directly onto the road, and a full-width rear light panel.
The door handles feature pixel lighting, and the model is equipped with air suspension and the Huawei ADS 4.0 Ultra autopilot system with four lidars, one of which is located above the windshield.
Dimensions:
- length — 5230 mm,
- width — 2025 mm,
- height — 1817 mm,
- wheelbase — 3120 mm.
- The crossover is equipped with 22-inch wheels, which further emphasize its status.
- Premium-class interior
Voyah has published new official photos and videos where the interior elements can be seen for the first time. The cabin features separate screens for the instrument panel and multimedia system, which runs on Huawei’s HarmonySpace 5.0 operating system.
The headrests have built-in speakers, the front panel has a separate central audio module, and the control for rear functions is placed on a touch panel in the center tunnel. A compartment with heating and cooling functions is also likely hidden there.
The Taishan is based on a platform with an 800-volt electrical system and is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The powertrain includes:
- A 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 150 hp,
- two electric motors,
- a battery with a capacity of 65 kWh.
The total power output is 517 hp, and the electric-only range is up to 370 km (according to CLTC). The total driving range reaches 1400 km.
The Voyah Taishan premiere in China will take place in November, after which the crossover will go on sale and, according to preliminary data, will receive an export version — possibly under the name Voyah Titan.
The new model will be further proof that Chinese manufacturers are confidently entering the ultra-premium SUV segment, challenging even names like Maybach and Range Rover Autobiography.
