Audi Introduces New Base Version of the e-tron GT
Audi is expanding its e-tron GT electric car lineup by adding a new base version called quattro. This model will become a more accessible alternative to the more powerful S, RS, and RS Performance variants. The new quattro is already available for order in Europe.
The car has received 20-inch wheels with a black coating, black accents on the body, and matrix LED headlights. The interior is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 10.1-inch multimedia system, heated seats and steering wheel, and a panoramic roof. The trunk’s useful volume is 405 liters, and the front compartment’s is 77 liters.
Technical Specifications and Prices
The e-tron GT quattro has received a battery with a capacity of 105 kWh (useful – 97 kWh) and two electric motors. The standard power is 496 hp, and in Launch Control mode – 577 hp. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 4 seconds. The range is up to 622 km. The model also supports fast charging with a power of 320 kW, which allows for recovering 285 km of range in 10 minutes.
“This is a model that combines accessibility with high technical characteristics,” Audi notes.
In Germany, the e-tron GT quattro starts from 108,900 euros, which is significantly cheaper than the previous base version, the S e-tron GT (126,000 euros). In the UK, sales will begin in August with a starting price of £88,555. A Vorsprung version with a richer equipment package will also be available for £108,055.
The new e-tron GT quattro version could become an interesting option for those looking for a balance between performance and accessibility. Reduced weight and an efficient battery make it competitive in the premium electric car market, especially in Europe, where the infrastructure for fast charging is actively developing.
