New Volvo EX60 Electric Model
Volvo is preparing to launch the new EX60 electric model, which will become part of their expanded electric family. This SUV will be built on the new SPA3 platform, an updated version of the SPA2 used in the EX90 and ES90. The company has already shown the first teaser of the model, revealing the characteristic LED headlights that emphasize the car’s design.
Volvo has stated that the EX60 will be “fully software-defined and capable of evolving over time.” The model is expected to go on sale in early 2026. Although details about the engines have not been disclosed yet, it can be assumed that the EX60 will receive similar technical characteristics to the ES90, including options with one or two engines and a battery with a capacity of about 102 kWh.
“The Volvo EX60 is not just a mid-size SUV, it’s the future.”
Among other innovations is support for fast charging with a power of up to 350 kW, which will allow restoring about 300 km of range in 10 minutes. Additionally, the EX60 will become the first Volvo model with a new passive safety system that adapts to passenger parameters.
Despite limited information, the EX60 has already generated significant interest. Its positioning as a progressive electric SUV makes it an important player in the market, especially considering the growing competition from brands such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz. The model is expected to fill the niche between the compact EX40 and the larger EX90, offering a balance of technology and practicality.
