Fiat’s Return to the Compact Segment
Fiat is preparing three premieres for the Paris Motor Show in October: two production cars and one concept model. With this step, the brand returns to the compact segment, which practically confirms that the main attractions will be the long-awaited off-roader and fastback named “Giga Panda”.
Building on the success of the Grande Panda, the new models will be larger, more practical, and better suited for family use. Their design will be very close to the 2024 concepts. The SUV will get a more vertical rear section, while the Fastback will feature a sloping roofline similar to the Citroen Basalt.
Both models are expected to share a unified front-end design language, with pixel-style LED lighting and a closed radiator grille. Special renderings, created based on observations of prototypes, depict the Fastback with modern stylistic elements borrowed from the smaller Grande Panda.

Technical Basis of the Newcomers
Both cars will be built on the Stellantis Smart Car platform, already used on similarly sized models such as the Citroen C3 Aircross and Opel Frontera. This architecture is economical yet flexible, supporting everything from gasoline engines to micro-hybrid and full electric powertrains.
Regarding the concept car, Fiat has shared minimal details, only noting that it will be “exclusive.” It remains unclear whether it will herald a future addition to the expanding Panda family.

Other Stellantis Group Premieres
While Fiat focuses on the affordable segment, the broader Stellantis lineup has also prepared several important debuts for this year’s Paris Motor Show.
Lancia will play a leading role, presenting the all-new Gamma to the public. It will be a stylish fastback-shaped crossover, with production to commence at the Melfi plant (Italy) alongside the DS No8. The car is based on the STLA Medium platform with a full range of powertrains: electric, micro-hybrid, and plug-in hybrid.

Concepts and Other Brands
Citroen will bring a new concept model to Paris, promising something “full of individuality.” It remains unclear whether it will be a pure design study akin to the ELO concept from late 2025 or an early look at a future production model.
Leapmotor, a Chinese brand supported by Stellantis, will also introduce itself at the show with the B03 subcompact hatchback. It is positioned as a lower and more stylish alternative to the B03X crossover. Different shape, but the same idea.
As for DS Automobiles, this premium French brand will present the No7 SUV following its recent online premiere. The rest of the Stellantis brands, such as Peugeot, Opel, and Alfa Romeo, will also be present, but their displays will consist of models we have already seen.

The 2024 Paris Motor Show becomes a key milestone for Stellantis, showcasing a diversified strategy. On one hand, the effort to return mass-market brands like Fiat to key market segments with modern yet affordable products. On the other – strengthening premium brands like Lancia and DS, which are receiving new models to compete at a higher level. This approach, combining economical platforms for budget models and advanced architectures for premium cars, reflects current automotive trends where flexibility and adaptability are becoming key success factors.
