Ford Announces Three New Recalls
Automaker Ford has issued three new recalls affecting the F-150, Ranger, and Navigator models. The largest impacts F-150 pickups with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine – a problem has been identified with the contact between the engine wiring and the coolant hose. This could lead to wiring damage or failure of the powertrain control module contacts, which would cause the engine to stall unexpectedly.
To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect the wiring for damage, relocate the coolant hose clamp, and add a protective sleeve to the wiring. Owners will be notified of the need to visit a service center starting June 24.
Ranger Instrument Panel Problems
The second recall concerns 2025 model year Ranger pickups. An incorrect instrument panel calibration was found, causing the fuel gauge, collision warning system, and other important indicators not to display. Ford has already received six warranty claims regarding this issue.
Lincoln Navigator Recalled Again
The third problem affected 2022 Lincoln Navigator SUVs. It was discovered that during a previous recall, incorrect software may have been installed on them, leaving a risk of failure for the daytime running lights and side marker lights.
These incidents demonstrate how important even minor technical details are in modern vehicles. From a properly secured hose to a line of software code – every element can affect the safety of the driver and passengers. Ford, as one of the market leaders, continues to respond promptly to such challenges, despite the growing number of recalls.
