Preparation for the Concept Debut
Mitsubishi is preparing to present a new concept car at the Tokyo Auto Show. Preliminary teasers showcase a futuristic rear design and a robust off-road appearance. The interior impresses with the presence of a double bed and roof lighting, creating conditions for comfortable camping.
Features of the Electric Concept
The concept’s name has not yet been disclosed, but it is known to be an all-wheel-drive electric crossover capable of delivering power and smooth movement on any terrain. The teaser shows a full-width LED light bar, the absence of visible rear glass, and interesting structural elements. Wide tires, muscular fenders, and dark plastic emphasize its off-road qualities.
Interior for Glamping
A previously published interior photo revealed a large double bed under a roof with sci-fi-style lighting. The manufacturer notes that the spacious interior provides luxurious sleeping conditions, transforming any location into a glamping retreat. The concept also includes personalization features, suggesting a flexible cabin layout.
Focus on the Adventurous Spirit
Photographs show four people relaxing outdoors next to the concept and a large tent structure, highlighting its adventure orientation. Overall, the model appears larger than the 2023 D:X concept and could become the prototype for a future off-roader.
Other Mitsubishi Exhibits
The company’s stand will also feature the new Delica Mini and eK Space kei cars. They will be accompanied by current models like the Outlander PHEV, Delica D:5, and the rally Triton that won the 2025 Asia Cross Country Rally. Other sections of the show will display historical models such as the 1985 Pajero from the Dakar Rally, the 1996 Lancer Evo III from the WRC, and the 2014 MiEV Evolution III from Pikes Peak.
Awaiting Further Details
Mitsubishi is expected to reveal additional details about the concept before its debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, which will take place on October 30th.
This concept may indicate a growing trend of combining eco-friendly mobility with comfort for active recreation. The integration of sleeping areas into vehicles could become a key direction for the market, especially in regions where the popularity of road trips and camping is growing. Technological solutions such as flexible interiors and energy-efficient systems could define the future of electric off-road vehicles.
