Jeep Model Line Update
Jeep has introduced the updated 2026 Gladiator pickup, which complements the recently announced Wrangler. The main novelty is the special Willys ’41 version, honoring the brand’s military heritage.
Special Edition Features
The Willys ’41 model is inspired by the 1967 Kaiser Jeep M715 military off-roader. The design includes steel bumpers, 17-inch Olive Drab wheels, and a radiator grille with a protective mesh. The cabin features two-tone upholstery with beige-colored seats and green side inserts.
Jeep chief Bob Broderdorf described the new model as “timeless and ready for off-road.”
Technical Improvements
The updates affected the door mounting system – new hinges make them easier to remove. The color palette has been expanded with Reign and Goldilocks shades, and all-terrain tires have become available for the Sport S trim.
Trims and Specifications
The Sport S also offers the Dark Sky package with color-matched fenders, a sport hood, and glossy black accents. The technical components remain unchanged: a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 285 hp is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The model can tow up to 3.5 tons and has an average fuel consumption of 12.4 l/100 km.
The presentation of the 2026 Gladiator demonstrates the preservation of the brand’s key values – the combination of historical motifs with modern technologies. Particularly interesting is the focus on improving the user experience through simpler door removal mechanisms, which is important for off-road enthusiasts who actively use their vehicles. At the same time, the retention of the traditional powertrain indicates an orientation towards proven solutions in the face of market uncertainty regarding the future electrification of off-road vehicles.
