The New 2026 Land Cruiser Version Has Become More Expensive, But Does Not Offer Any Significant Updates

Price Updates for the 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser

The new 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser model is already available in the USA; however, despite the lack of changes in design, the vehicle’s price has increased. The base version now starts at $57,200 or $58,695 including destination and handling fees, making the Japanese SUV another example of a price increase against the backdrop of rising living costs.

Features of the Base Version

As before, the entry-level model is the 1958 variant, which is distinguished by round headlights unique to this series. Last year, its price was $56,700, meaning it has increased by $500. Considering the new tariffs that Toyota faces and the fact that the Land Cruiser is manufactured in plants in Japan, it can be assumed that the brand has refrained from a more significant price hike.

Standard Model and Additional Options

The standard Land Cruiser, which is a step above the 1958, also features the hybrid system and has a starting price of $63,275, which is higher than last year’s $61,470. Including additional fees, the pre-options cost is $64,770.

Among the options for the 2026 model are the Premium package for $4,600, which includes a 14-speaker JBL audio system, illuminated running boards, a digital rearview mirror, a center console cooler, a heads-up display, a lane change assistant, and cross-traffic alert. Other available options: a moonroof for $850, an exhaust system for $1,395, steel running boards for $700, a roof rack for $1,440, and an underbody protection package for $805.

Deliveries and the Model’s Future

According to Toyota, the updated Land Cruiser will begin arriving at US dealerships as early as the end of this month. This underscores that, despite the price increase, demand for reliable SUVs remains stable, especially among those who value durability and the innovative technologies implemented in the hybrid system.
