by A new batch of spy photos of the Skoda Octavia 2020 has hit the internet. Only a few days remain until the premiere of the fourth-generation model — it is scheduled for November 11.
The new Skoda Octavia won’t change much in appearance and will retain its faceted design. Fortunately, the controversial optics of the current model will be a thing of the past, and the front end will be styled in the spirit of the Skoda Scala.
It is known that the wheelbase remains the same (2686 mm), but the length has increased to 4689 mm and the width to 1829 mm. The trunk has grown to 600 liters in the liftback and 640 liters in the station wagon.
In the cabin, attention is drawn to the virtual dashboard and the large 10-inch touchscreen. The miniature selector of the automated gearbox looks unusual.
Among the new options are three-zone climate control and a head-up display.
The choice will include petrol turbo engines with a volume of 1.0 liters (110 hp), 1.5 liters (130 and 150 hp), and 2.0 liters (190 hp), as well as two-liter turbo diesels with 115, 150, and 190 hp. Overall, everything is like the VW Golf 8, with which the new Octavia 2020 shares a platform.
