Sad news came from France. Near the Atlantic coast of the country, the Grande America ship with 2,000 cars on board caught fire and sank.
Moreover, it is not only about mass models, there were also expensive sports cars on board. In particular, the ship was transporting to South America the Audi RS4 and RS5, as well as the Porsche Cayenne, 718 Boxster, and Cayman.
The most valuable cargo was four limited 700-horsepower coupe Porsche 911 GT2 RS, intended for customers in Brazil.
It should be noted that only 1000 of these cars were produced, and their production has ended. Nevertheless, Porsche decided to meet the clients halfway. The German company will produce more of the 911 GT2 RS and deliver them to South American brand fans.
Let us recall that the Porsche 911 GT2 RS is the fastest 911 in history. It accelerates to a hundred in 2.8 seconds and reaches 340 km/h.
The Porsche supercar also marked a Nürburgring record.
