New hybrids from Genesis promise to pleasantly surprise

Genesis is preparing new powerful and electrified models

Genesis, previously associated with luxury and elegance, is now focusing on performance and electrification. The company is actively working on new hybrid and electric solutions, including models with extended range (EREV).

Next-generation hybrids and electric vehicles

Manfred Harrer, head of the Genesis performance development department, confirmed that the brand is developing both classic hybrids and EREVs. He noted that prototype testing is already underway:

“We are actively working on these technologies to introduce them as soon as possible. This is the next step for our electrified lineup.”

EREV models combine the advantages of electric vehicles, such as instant torque, with greater autonomy due to an internal combustion engine that acts as a generator.

New platform and updates for the G90

Genesis is also developing a new platform for electric vehicles that will improve handling dynamics and range. In addition, the flagship G90 will receive updates, including new powertrain options and improved ride quality.

The first car with the Magma badge — the GV60 — will become part of a new era for the brand. The company emphasizes that its approach to performance will differ from competitors such as BMW M, focusing on the balance between power and comfort.

The growing interest in electrification and performance indicates that Genesis is trying to establish itself not only as a manufacturer of luxury cars but also as a serious player in the world of high-tech and dynamic models. New developments are expected to resonate with buyers looking for a combination of innovation, comfort, and driving excitement.
