by The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture has published a draft Law called “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Specific Issues Related to the Admission of Vehicles to Operation”. This draft is designed to address issues related to the admission of vehicles to operation, in particular those that have been used and imported into the customs territory of Ukraine for free circulation, their first state registration in Ukraine, by aligning the legislation with the practice of the European Union.
Within the framework of this draft law, it is proposed to amend the Laws of Ukraine “On Transport” and “On Road Traffic” concerning the regulation of mandatory technical inspection of vehicles that have been used and imported into the customs territory of Ukraine for free circulation, as well as their first state registration in Ukraine, instead of undergoing certification and determining compliance with the European Union’s environmental standards.
