New record: in Kyiv, police detained a driver dead drunk (photo)

A driver in a record state of intoxication was detained in Kyiv. According to the National Police, his blood contained over 5 promille of alcohol.

Patrol officers were called to Heroiv Dnipra street – a very drunk driver of a Kia Cerato was noticed there. The test results were shocking. The exact alcohol content could not be determined during the test, as the Dragor device measures only up to 5 promille.

In any case, this is almost a lethal dose, equivalent to over 1.25 liters of vodka. This is a record for Kyiv, and perhaps for the whole of Ukraine.

Of course, a protocol according to Art. 130 of the Code of Administrative Offenses was issued against the drunk driver. Obviously, he now faces not only a 17,000 hryvnias fine and a one-year license suspension, but also confiscation of the car for the needs of the Armed Forces or territorial defense.
