The first photos of the Lada X-Cross 5 have appeared online. The city crossover will be assembled at the former Nissan plant in Saint Petersburg. This is reported by Focus.

The miracle did not happen — as expected, the new Lada X-Cross 5 turned out to be Chinese. “AvtoVAZ” followed the path of “Moskvich” and also began assembling cars from the Middle Kingdom.
The Lada X-Cross 5 crossover is the FAW Bestune T77. This budget model has been available on the Ukrainian market since last year, and there were earlier rumors that it could be assembled in Zaporizhzhia under the name ZAZ “Odessa”.

The new Lada X-Cross 5 differs from the Chinese model only in the logos. The crossover with a faceted design measures 4.5 m in length and has a 342-liter trunk. Inside the cabin, there are two displays on the dashboard.
The configurations and specifications of the Lada X-Cross 5 have not yet been published. According to preliminary data, the “Lada” crossover will retain the 1.5-liter turbo engine of the FAW Bestune T77, but its power will be reduced from 168 to 149 hp. The car will receive a 7-speed robotized transmission with dual clutches and will be available exclusively with front-wheel drive.

The price of the Lada X-Cross 5 has also not been announced. The FAW Bestune T77 can be purchased in Ukraine for a price starting from $21,000, but it is not excluded that the new VAZ will be significantly more expensive.
