Lamborghini Introduces the New Temerario GT3 Race Car
Lamborghini has officially announced the Temerario GT3 — the successor to the Huracán GT3 model. This race car, built on the basis of the new road version, is distinguished by the absence of a hybrid powertrain. Instead, it is equipped with a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine producing 542 horsepower.
The Temerario GT3’s first race is scheduled for the 12-hour race at Sebring in March 2026. The car has become the brand’s first fully developed and built race model at the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory. This allowed engineers to integrate racing technologies at the design stage.
Technical Features
The body of the Temerario GT3 is made of carbon composites and features a number of aerodynamic improvements, including:
The car’s chassis has been modified for racing needs — weight has been reduced and the design simplified for quick replacement of components during races. The suspension has received new shock absorbers from KW, and the wheelbase has become longer compared to the previous model.
96 titles and 192 victories: the track remembers every one of them. This is the legacy of 10 years of continuous racing with the Huracán GT3. And now the time has come for a new contender — are you ready for the Temerario GT3?
Despite the reduced power compared to the road version (542 hp vs. 907 hp), engineers focused on optimizing the engine’s performance across the entire RPM range. The updated refueling system will reduce pit-stop times, which could be a decisive factor in long-distance races.
The new model faces a challenging task — to repeat the success of the Huracán GT3, which brought the team 96 championship titles over 10 years. Initial tests have already shown good results, but final conclusions can only be drawn after its track debut in 2026. The team is confident that the Temerario GT3 is capable of continuing the brand’s winning tradition in the world of motorsport.
