The new AUDI E5 Sportback electric car literally exploded onto the Chinese market – over 10,000 orders were collected within the first 30 minutes after sales started.
The mid-size fastback is produced at a joint venture between Audi and SAIC. It has become the first model of the updated AUDI brand, which is now written only in capital letters and for the first time has abandoned the traditional four rings on the emblem.
The E5 Sportback stands out with its bold design: graphic illumination at the front and rear, hidden door handles, and a massive spoiler. Inside – a curved 59-inch panoramic display, Alcantara upholstery, and adaptive ambient lighting. Many functions can be controlled by voice – through the intelligent assistant.
The electric car is available with several powertrains – from 299 to 787 hp. In the top version, it accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, and the range on a single charge reaches 770 km thanks to an 800-volt battery.
