Mercedes-Benz has presented the C-Class Electric sedan, which enters the segment of compact premium cars. The model is created as a separate project and does not share a technical base with internal combustion engine versions. This was reported by the manufacturer’s official website.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Electric: range and key specifications
The new model is built on the MB.EA platform and received a battery with a capacity of 94.5 kWh. In the all-wheel-drive version, the range reaches up to 472 miles, which is approximately 760 km.
A less powerful rear-wheel-drive modification with an estimated range of up to 497 miles (about 800 km) is also planned. In 2026, the lineup will be supplemented with variants featuring other batteries.
The fast charging system supports power up to 330 kW. In 10 minutes, you can gain up to 198 miles of range, equivalent to approximately 320 km.
Electric Mercedes-Benz C-Class: sedan’s performance and equipment
The flagship version is equipped with two electric motors with a combined output of 482 hp. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes about 4.1 seconds.
The model received a two-speed transmission, adaptive suspension, and a rear-axle steering system that reduces the turning circle to 11.2 meters.
The interior features a digital panel with several displays, including the optional Hyperscreen system. Available functions include massage, seat ventilation, and a panoramic roof.
Among the main competitors of the new model is the BMW i3. Sales of the model are expected by the end of the year.
